Booking a session at Ginger Studios is simple and straightforward! As the owner-operator and chief engineer/producer of the studio, I pride myself on being artist focused so I’ll be the one working with you every step of the way to ensure that your project is a success. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and help you schedule a time that works for you.

The amount of time it takes to record at our studio depends on the project’s scope and complexity. For singles or individual songs, it usually takes about 1.5 days to record. For full-length albums, it can take close to 2 weeks. As always, I work closely with each client to ensure that together, we’re able to get the best possible results within the timeframe and budget that works for you.

I believe in providing tailored solutions to each individual project, which is why I offer a range of packages to suit different budgets for audio recording. Whether you’re a solo artist or a band, I’m happy to discuss your specific needs and provide a customised quote. Simply give me a call, head to the contact page or message me on Instagram to discuss your project, and we’ll work together to find the best solution for your recording needs.

I take great pride in the equipment we have available. Each piece has been carefully chosen for its unique ability to bring out the best in your music. The SSL Duality console, for example, is an analogue console with added digital functionality to control Pro Tools. This means that I can offer you the warmth, character and speed of analogue sound and workflows with the precision and flexibility of digital technology.

The Augspurger Monitors are a custom-designed and tuned pair of main monitors that the studio was specifically designed to maximise the performance from. They offer incredibly accurate, detailed sound reproduction, ensuring that you can hear every nuance of your music as it’s being recorded and mixed. The Telefunken ELA M 251E microphone with NOS tube is a classic piece of equipment that has been used at my studio by some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X, and Jason Derülo. It offers a warm, vintage sound that’s perfect for capturing the nuances of your vocals.

The TubeTech CL-1B tube optical compressor is the gold standard for vocal recording. It’s an incredibly versatile piece of equipment that can add warmth and character to any recording, helping to bring out the best in your voice. In addition to these pieces of equipment, my recording studio also has a range of special instruments that I’m proud to offer my clients. My two custom-built Moody drum kits, made in a “stave” style, are both unique and versatile, providing a wide range of sounds and tones. There is a large complement of varied cymbals from Zildjian, Sabian and Meinl. Guitarists will love exploring the collection of Fender and Gibson electric guitars, after which they can dive deeper into the custom baritone and Seagull 12-string offerings.

Choice amplifiers from Vox, MesaBoogie and Ampeg for bass players, and keys players will love the tones achievable from my Vintage Vibe 73 Key Fender Rhodes, Minimoog Model D, Prophet6 and OB6 synthesizers. Of particular note is my Yamaha C7 Grand Piano, which is a stunning instrument that can help to bring a sense of grandeur and sophistication to your recordings. I’m always happy to discuss my equipment in more detail, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more.
